Mexico City is one of the largest and oldest cities in the Western Hemisphere. It was founded in the 1320s as the capital of the Aztec Empire, and evidence of that civilization remains visible. With over 9 million people in the city, it is the largest in North America and the largest Spanish-speaking city in the world.
